As we reach the half way point of 2026, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported ISSTD so far this year—whether through financial contributions, volunteer efforts, or both. Your generosity continues to strengthen our community and advance our mission. As you determine your giving for the second half of 2026, we invite you to support several key areas of need within ISSTD: the ISSTD Member Sponsorship Program, as well as the General Fund, the Fridley Fund, and the Caul Fund. You can find more information about each of these giving opportunities below.
Member Sponsorship
ISSTD is continuing to accept pledges for our Member Sponsorship Program from those wishing to sponsor an individual or individuals’ ISSTD membership(s)! By sponsoring a member, you will actively contribute to the professional development and success of a new member. When members support and uplift each other, it creates a community that fosters collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective advancement. Learn more about Member Sponsorship here.
At this time, we have received significantly more applications for sponsorship than we are able to fund, so we would greatly appreciate your support in increasing the accessibility of ISSTD Membership.
General Fund
The General Fund is used to expand ISSTD programming, including training, education, and member benefits. In recent years, money raised from the general fund has been used to implement the ISSTDWorld platform as well as increase the number and diversity of online courses and trainings we are able to offer. We have also been able to expand the tier pricing structure to education to make training more accessible to mental health professionals throughout the world.
In 2026, ISSTD is continuing our recurring donor program, the Mosaic Society, which recognizes all those who establish monthly donations of $15 or more to the General Fund.
David Caul Graduate Research Fund
The first of our dedicated funds for research and education is the David Caul Graduate Research Fund, which is designed to support student research that is primarily concerned with dissociation or closely related topics. Applications for this fund are open each year in May, and ISSTD awards up to $3000 annually to fund graduate and undergraduate honors student research projects.
Fridley Fund
The next fund, the Fridley Fund, was created to defray the cost of one training activity offered through ISSTD for students who would otherwise be unable to obtain appropriate instruction in the treatment of complex trauma and dissociation.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to ISSTD in 2026, and thank you to all those who have previously donated to the Research and Education Fund as well as the Goodwin Education Fund. Because of your generosity, these two funds have been fully financed for future years. We ask that if you are considering a donation to either of those funds that you direct your donation to one of the funds above instead to ensure we can continue to provide funding annually from both of our restricted funds designated for students.
By donating to ISSTD, you help the Society continue to grow, and we deeply appreciate your support. In addition to those who have donated, thank you to those who have attended a fundraising event such as Taste of Portland!
Thank you to Those who Have Donated so far in 2026!
