Register now for the July EMDR Virtual Seminar which Includes a Full Day of Ethics Training

ISSTD is thrilled to announce our 2024 EMDR Virtual Seminar, “The Complexities of Complex Trauma, Dissociation and EMDR Therapy,” which will take place on July 12 and 13, 2024. The Seminar will feature presenters Jennifer Madere, D. Michael Coy and Marilyn Korzekwa!

This two-day, virtual seminar will explore rarely covered terrain in the treatment of complex trauma and dissociation using EMDR therapy. On Day One, for the first time ever—anywhere—Jennifer Madere and D. Michael Coy will devote a full day to a critical examination and discussion of standards of practice and ethical considerations specific to using EMDR therapy with more complex clients, with illustrative case examples.

Day two will feature a (re)introduction to Maureen Kitchur’s Strategic Developmental Model, an invaluable but oft-overlooked brief-treatment framework for employing EMDR therapy with clients with complex trauma, presented by psychiatrist and longtime EMDR therapy practitioner and EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Marilyn Korzekwa, MD. Day Two will continue with a discussion of critical ‘gaps’ in knowledge, understanding, and skills that EMDR practitioners frequently discover only after they have completed basic training in EMDR therapy, but which can have a profound impact on treatment outcomes. The seminar will conclude with an ‘episode’ of ISSTD’s well-received Ask the Expert series, featuring participant questions explored in depth by the weekend’s presenters.

Important: All participants must have completed or be currently enrolled in an EMDRIA-approved Basic Training (or international equivalent) to participate in this seminar. All participants will be asked to provide the dates of their training, training instructor and location of training during the registration process.
