ISSTD’s Fridley Fund and Ask the Expert Series

The Fridley Fund was created to defray the cost of one training activity offered through ISSTD for students who would otherwise be unable to obtain appropriate instruction in the treatment of complex trauma and dissociation. ISSTD will have its first call for applications for this Fund in 2024. More details about the application period and requirements for applying will be posted to the ISSTD website by mid-year.

In 2023, we hosted our first Ask the Expert Series to raise money for this Fund. This member-only series of six 90 minute virtual meet-up discussions allowed participants to meet with legends in the field of trauma and dissociation. Thank you to our 2023 Experts for donating your time to help us raise more than $2000 for this important cause:

  • Michael Coy & Jennifer Madere
  • Colin Ross
  • Kathy Steele
  • Joy Silberg & Fran Waters
  • Bethany Brand & Frank Putnam
  • Heather Hall & Michael Salter

We are in the process of planning our 2024 Ask the Expert Series, which will start in April, and we welcome any suggestions on who you would like to see as part of this series. Please send your suggestions to cfas@isst-d.org by February 15. We hope to finalize our schedule and launch registration for this year’s series before the Annual Conference.

Thank you to all those who donated to this Fund directly and participated in the Ask the Expert Series in 2023.  Your support allows us to provide students with access to our training and conferences who otherwise might not be able to attend. If you have not yet donated to the Fridley and wish to do so, please use this link to make your donation today!
