At ISSTD, we know that our members are committed to supporting others—whether through their work with clients, collaboration with colleagues, mentorship, research, or education. The strength of our community comes from members who share their knowledge, encourage growth, and help create opportunities for others in the field.
One meaningful way to extend that support is through the ISSTD Member Sponsorship Program.
ISSTD is currently accepting sponsorship pledges from members who would like to help another professional access the benefits of membership. Each year, we receive applications from individuals who are passionate about the field of complex trauma and dissociation but are facing financial barriers that make joining or renewing their membership difficult. At this time, the number of sponsorship requests exceeds the number of available sponsors.
If you are in a position to help, your sponsorship can make a lasting difference.
How the Program Works
When you complete the sponsorship interest form, you are letting ISSTD staff know that you are interested in sponsoring another student or professional’s membership. As sponsorship requests are received, staff and a team of volunteers work to thoughtfully match sponsors and recipients based on shared professional interests whenever possible.
Because applications are accepted on a rolling basis, matching may take some time. Our goal is to create meaningful connections and ensure a positive experience for both sponsors and recipients.

Strengthening Our Community Together
The Member Sponsorship Program reflects the collaborative spirit that defines ISSTD. When members support one another, the impact extends far beyond a single membership year. Sponsorship helps foster professional development, encourages participation from a broader range of voices, and strengthens the collective knowledge and expertise of our community.
Every sponsorship helps ensure that professionals committed to advancing the understanding and treatment of complex trauma and dissociation can remain connected, engaged, and supported.
