This September, ISSTD is celebrating our Student and Emerging Professional (SEP) members and the important perspectives, energy, and ideas they bring to our field and our Society.
Throughout the month, we’re highlighting opportunities for SEPs to connect, learn, and get involved with ISSTD. But we also want to look ahead, and we need your help!
ISSTD is working to re-activate the Student and Emerging Professional (SEP) Committee, and we’re looking for students and early career professionals who want to help shape the SEP experience within ISSTD.
The SEP Committee helps foster a welcoming and engaging community for students and emerging professionals interested in complex trauma and dissociation. Committee members have the opportunity to help develop programming, create opportunities for connection, and bring the perspectives and needs of SEPs to the Society.
Some of the committee’s activities include:
- Helping plan and lead the SEP Luncheon at the Annual Conference
- Developing engaging activities and conversations for SEPtember
- Helping create opportunities for SEPs to connect with one another and with experienced professionals in the field
- Sharing ideas about how ISSTD can better support students and early career professionals
You don’t need to have extensive experience or a long history with ISSTD to get involved. We’re looking for people who are interested in contributing their ideas, connecting with their peers, and helping build a stronger SEP community within ISSTD.
If you’re a student or emerging professional and would like to help shape what the SEP experience at ISSTD can look like, we’d love to hear from you!
Please contact membership@isst-d.org to learn more or express your interest in joining the SEP Committee.
