Letter From The President

Connecting Through ISSTD Training

Dear ISSTD Community,

Our organization continues to grow through challenging times, and support people in the many ways trauma impacts their lives. The spring season is a busy time full of conferences and planning, and now we have some time to reflect, organize, deepen our leadership capacities as an organization, and plan for a rich array of offerings this fall.

As we move into the summer months here in the northern hemisphere, planning is well underway for our fall training sessions. We have regional conferences happening this year in New York City (September 8-9), Scottsdale, Arizona (October 7-8) Melbourne, Australia (November 11-13), and online! Our 2022 annual virtual conference is scheduled for October 22-23, and offers us the opportunity to learn and gather virtually before the end of the year.

The ISSTD offers training to respond to the many layers of trauma we face today with dignity and care. These trainings offer an opportunity for us to connect and to be part of generative conversations about how we can heal – both individually and collectively. I hope you can join one of our upcoming training opportunities! Wishing you well in your continued efforts to care for yourself and others.

Warmly,
Lisa Danylchuk, M.Ed. LMFT
ISSTD 2022 President
