Annual Awards

Celebrate and Honor Your Colleagues’ Achievements by Nominating them for an ISSTD Annual Award!

ISSTD is excited to share with you that we are now accepting nominations for the 2026 ISSTD Annual Awards and Fellows! Is there a person you know of who has taken their energy and invested it in the creation of a gift for the rest of us: a work of literature, visual arts, and a work from the heart?

We hope you consider submitting them for an award! There are awards available for ISSTD members of all backgrounds as well as experience levels within the field, including two awards specifically for students.

This year the Annual Awards Committee and the ISSTD Board of Directors have voted to add a new award: The Courage Award! The Courage Award honors an individual or organization for exceptional bravery in advancing awareness, healing, and progress in the field of complex trauma and dissociation. This award recognizes courageous acts that move our field forward, despite its turbulent history and many continuing challenges.

Please review the award descriptions carefully to ensure you are submitting in the correct category; if you aren’t sure which category someone may fit in, please email info@isst-d.org, and staff will be happy to assist. You can view all award categories here as well as past award recipients here.

Fellow status may be awarded to individuals who have been members for five years or more, who have made outstanding contributions to the diagnosis, treatment, research, or education in the dissociative disorders field and to the Society.

A list of current ISSTD Fellows is available on this page.

Winners will be announced at the 2026 Annual Awards Ceremony at the Annual Conference to be held in Portland, Oregon, USA on March 28, 2026.

The deadline to submit an award or fellow nomination is November 17, 2025, 11:59:00 pm US Eastern Time
