Letter From The President

Australia-New Zealand Regional Conference Promises Learning & a Chance to Meet in Person

Dear ISSTD Community,
As we approach the end of 2022 I want to thank you for your involvement with the ISSTD. Each member, volunteer, and staff person comes together to create this wonderful community that becomes a professional home for so many of us. Thank you for your presence here.
We aren’t quite done with the year yet, as we have one more chance to gather in person, this time in Australia! Our Australia & New Zealand Conference Committee has worked hard to arrange an incredible lineup of presenters at our upcoming conference November 11th through 13th in Melbourne. Our plenary speakers include Colin Ross, Vanessa Turnbull-Roberts, Kylie Cripps, Lysha Rose and Warwick Middleton, who will be speaking on themes ranging from maladaptive daydreaming, to healing from organized abuse, to implications of intergenerational trauma for Australia’s First Nations. Our theme for this gathering is Healing from Interpersonal, Systemic and Global Trauma, and we’ll have many presentations in support of this important work, including Grace Tame joining our conference dinner on Saturday the 12th. I’m looking forward to visiting Australia again and hope to see you in Melbourne!
Warmly,
Lisa Danylchuk, M.Ed. LMFT
ISSTD 2022 President
