Research Participants Needed for Trial of a “Healing Traumatic Stress” App

Do you or your patients suffer from PTSD or symptoms of PTSD?

Research participants are needed for a research study investigating the use of smartphone apps to manage symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Individuals with a past diagnosis of PTSD or current symptoms of PTSD who are not currently receiving treatment are invited to participate in a study regarding the Healing Traumatic Stress apps series. These four apps are designed to address four of the most common problems experienced by PTSD sufferers: anxiety, medically unexplained pain, insomnia, and negative effects on self-confidence.

Following a screening process, successful participants will receive four apps (android or IOS) to be used daily for the duration of the study. Participants will be required to complete 2 brief questionnaires before during and upon completion of the study, and at follow-up. The proposed duration of the study is 16-17 weeks (8 weeks of intervention + 8 weeks of follow-up) through online interventions and email communication. Participants allocated to the waitlist control will not receive the apps until after the study. This study is being organized by Mark Grant MA, clinical psychologist.

Participants (1/100) will go into the drawing to win one of three $100.00 shopping vouchers.
