Annual Conference

Join us for Pre-Conference Workshops at the 2024 ISSTD Annual Conference

The 2024 ISSTD Annual Conference is just a few weeks away! Here is the full schedule, including social events and group meetings. On March 21 and 22, Pre-Conference workshops are being offered by invited presenters who are experts in the field or cutting-edge researchers. They are offered in half day or full day formats.

This year, we have a variety of pre-conference workshops. Dissociation 101 and 201 give the foundational overview of understanding and working with dissociation. Working with children and adolescents with complex trauma and dissociation is the focus of two workshops – one discussing the defense systems and the other giving a preview of the new treatment guidelines. Countertransference gets addressed in two workshops in depth.

Cutting-edge research that can benefit practitioners to policy makers are presented in two workshops on trauma, violence, and reproductive justice, and technology-facilitated child sexual abuse and exploitation. There are workshops addressing trauma in specific populations of transgender adults and incarcerated individuals. Detailed exploration of maladaptive daydreaming is done in one workshop.

There are opportunities to learn and deepen therapeutic skills from ego state approach, EMDR, clinical hypnosis, internal family systems, psychodynamic psychotherapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, etc. in a number of workshops.
