Ruth A. Blizard, PhD, is a psychologist practicing over 35 years in the Binghamton, NY. She has published articles integrating psychoanalytic concepts and attachment theory in the treatment of trauma, borderline personality, psychosis and the spectrum of dissociative disorders. Much of her work focuses on attachment to the abuser. She is on the editorial board of the Journal of Trauma and Dissociation.
