This month’s Volunteer Position Spotlight shines on the opportunity to joining the Communications and Marketing Committee to focus on ISSTD Wikipedia Page Updates!
The ISSTD’s Communications and Marketing Committee serves a role in promoting the ISSTD as the foremost place to learn about and study the phenomenology, diagnosis, and treatment of complex trauma and dissociation. This includes promoting issues related to the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of complex trauma and dissociation to the wider public and professional groups.
One of these platforms is Wikipedia! In order to ensure all information is accurate and up to date, the Communications and Marketing Committee is looking for volunteers to join our existing project group and assist with further editing and developing content for the ISSTD Wikipedia page. This opportunity involves maintaining, editing, and updating the Wikipedia page with content about ISSTD and relevant references.
The ideal committee members are interested in writing, research, and fact-checking. Any experience with Wikipedia would be an asset! The committee meets virtually four times per year to coordinate and implement activities.
