Volunteer Opportunity Spotlight: Goodwin Fund Reviewer

This month’s Volunteer Position Spotlight shines on the opportunity to become a Goodwin Fund Reviewer with ISSTD!

Support the professional growth of mental health providers by becoming a Goodwin Fund Reviewer with ISSTD. Reviewers help evaluate applications for training awards in complex trauma and dissociation, making written recommendations to the ISSTD Board of Directors twice annually. The commitment is approximately two to four hours per cycle, with reviews taking place in January/February and August/September. All work is conducted online through ISSTD World.

This role is open to all ISSTD members and is an excellent opportunity for first-time volunteers, students, and emerging professionals. While not required, useful skills include applying evaluation criteria fairly and consistently, comparing applicants from diverse backgrounds, familiarity with ISSTD training programs, and a commitment to inclusion and detail. At least three volunteers are needed.
