At the March 2024 Annual Conference, members of the Transitional Age Youth (TAY) and Child & Adolescent (C&A) Special Interest Groups (SIGs) met informally and discussed merging, as our membership and interests are almost identical. This was then discussed on the TAY SIG community page in ISSTD World. Procedurally, it makes the most sense to close the TAY SIG, as both SIGs’ by-laws would need to be amended to allow a merger. A voting poll has been requested for SIG members to make a formal decision. The proposal is that the TAY SIG be closed, and that members request to join the C&A SIG if they have not already done so.
