The Goodwin Fund is a donor restricted fund, intended to further education for those who have fewer financial opportunities. The Goodwin Fund runs twice a year with a budget of 2400.00 USD per year. This Fund is intended for those who possess an interest in learning more about complex trauma and dissociation.
Applicants who hold a Masters-level or higher degree in psychology, psychiatry, social work, or related fields, and who demonstrate financial need, can apply for funding (or partial funding) of an ISSTD training event. If an applicant makes more than $40,000 USD per year, additional justification regarding need, such as local cost of living figures, should be included with proof of income.
In the spring of 2022, The Goodwin Fund awarded Jessica Enders, Ash Hennan, and Bebe Martinez, all from the US, funding for conferences, 50% for the ISSTD/EMDR training, and a PTP course. Our fall 2022 recipient was Sarah Sandoz from Kenya, who was awarded funding for a PTP course.
We encourage those who are outside of the USA to apply. The current round of the Goodwin Fund runs July 25 to August 15, 2023. Please spread the word.
The Goodwin Sub-Committee is always looking for members who would like to be part of a group that provides support and assistance to those who are in need. It is a very rewarding committee to be part of.
