Spotlight on the Southeastern Regional Online Community: Building Connections in Complex Trauma Care

As the Southeastern Regional Online Community (ROC), we are proud to be part of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD). Now entering our second year, our group consists of approximately 30 dedicated professionals who are licensed and practicing in the fields of complex trauma and dissociation. We represent the states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky, coming together with a shared mission: to create a supportive network that enhances our ability to serve those impacted by trauma.

One of the core values of our community is connection. Members often express their appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate and share experiences. In a field that can sometimes feel isolating, we find strength in knowing we are not alone. By sharing both the challenges we face and the uplifting stories that inspire us, we foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie. Our meetings provide a vital space for exchanging resources, discussing best practices, and making referrals to one another, ultimately benefiting our clients and the communities we serve.

In 2025, we are excited to announce our upcoming meeting schedule, which will take place online on the following Wednesdays at 11 am Eastern Time:

  • January 22, 2025
  • April 2, 2025
  • June 11, 2025
  • August 6, 2025
  • October 15, 2025

These gatherings are not only an opportunity for professional development, but also a time to reconnect with fellow members, share insights, and celebrate our successes. We encourage all ISSTD members in our region to join us as we continue to build this vital network. More information about joining the ROC is available here. Together, we can enhance our practice and support each other in our important work.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to fostering a community where professionals can lean on each other’s expertise, share resources, and uplift one another. We invite you to be part of this journey with us, as we navigate the complexities of trauma care together.
