Spotlight on the Southeastern Regional Online Community

I’m Krista Behrens, Chair of the Southeastern Regional Online Community (ROC), and it’s been a privilege to watch this group evolve into a thoughtful and collegial community over the past year. The Southeastern ROC brings together ISSTD members who live or practice in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, or Kentucky. We meet six times per year to share conversation, reflection, and support. In this way, we actually get to know one another. It’s so nice to see the same faces, hear familiar voices, and feel a growing sense of connection among colleagues who share this work.

Our meetings are intentionally open and organic. Members bring current clinical questions, challenges, or insights, and our discussions unfold naturally from there. This format creates space for authentic exchange, professional curiosity, and mutual understanding among colleagues who truly understand the work.

What makes the Southeastern ROC special is how genuine it feels when clinicians come together just to think, talk, and be understood.

If you live or practice in one of our six Southeastern states and are seeking a collegial and welcoming peer community, we’d love to have you join us. Just contact me at kristabehrens@gmail.com for information about joining.
