Volunteer Opportunity Spotlight

Public Health Committee Volunteer

This month’s Volunteer Position Spotlight shines on the opportunity to become a Public Health Committee Member.

The ISSTD Public Health Committee seeks members to support its engagement with survivor and lived experience communities. Ideal candidates are familiar with lived experience engagement and ISSTD’s mission, with preferred experience in co-design, stakeholder collaboration, and relationship building. Responsibilities include collaborating with organizations supporting individuals with complex trauma and dissociation and contributing to ISSTD’s lived experience framework—a priority in the 2023-2026 strategic plan. Commitment is approximately one hour per month.

The Public Health Committee focuses on public health dimensions of complex trauma and dissociation, advancing an intersectional framework, promoting evidence-based prevention strategies, and developing educational resources.
