The Psychoanalytic SIG has been in the process of gathering a group of clinicians with psychodynamic training in either formal or informal venues, to begin a discussion about the value of a psychodynamic foundation in the treatment of trauma and dissociation. We are hoping to proceed with some kind of discussion later this academic year. We are also in the process of scheduling a series of talks addressing various aspects of psychoanalysis relevant to trauma work. The role of mother infant observation is first on the list.
