The Nominating Committee is responsible for developing candidates for both the ISSTD officers and Board members. The committee is Chaired by the Immediate Past President and meets throughout the year beginning in the late spring. Committee members are Board members who have a sense of potential candidates for the open positions in any given year. There is a Board Interest Meeting each year where ISSTD members who have an interest in joining the Board can interact with Board members to ask questions about the duties and responsibilities of Board members. They can also gain a sense of board duties and responsibilities, as well as a general sense of governance responsibilities and time commitment expected from Board members. I would encourage anyone interested in either Board membership or one of the officer roles within ISSTD to reach out to our current Board members or myself, and we will be glad to give any information and advice you need. ISSTD runs on the energy of volunteers, so please think about where you might want to contribute.
