ISSTD Welcomes another Regional Online Community! The Mid-Atlantic ROC was formed in September 2021 with the intention of developing a clinically supportive community in conjunction with educational programming for clinicians who work with complex trauma and dissociative identity presentations in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. When first proposed to the ISSTD and due to members’ expressed interest, the executive committee broadened its definition of the Mid-Atlantic region. Subsequently, membership includes clinicians who are located along the east coast of the United States.
Presently, the Mid-Atlantic ROC is comprised of more than 30 ISSTD members. In January, we hosted our first educational program which was well-attended. The executive team is planning additional educational programs and we hope to establish an ongoing peer discussion group.
