2025 Annual Conference

Invited Speakers at 2025 Annual Conference

Every year, the Annual Conference Committee invites a few experts in the field of trauma and dissociation to present workshops or panel discussions at the Annual Conference. For our conference in Boston, Massachusetts in March 2025, in addition to the invited plenary speakers, we have invited presenters offering pre-conference workshops, holding a panel discussion, and presenting a workshop during the main conference.

From the European Society for Trauma and Dissociation, we have Radoslav Tomalski presenting on “Trauma Treatment in the Context of Psychosis.” A panel of experts – Faige Flakser, Cynthia Wilson, Lynette Danylchuk, and Jennifer Madere – will discuss “Navigating the Path to Effective Consultation.” These presentations will be during the main conference.

There are pre-conference workshops of half and full day duration for various learning levels from beginner to advanced, scheduled on March 13th and 14th:

The workshop by Benjamin Israel, Judith Lewis, and Timothy Brewerton, “What Psychiatrists Need to Know… but May Not,” is designed for psychiatrists and relevant to all disciplines.

Paula Thomson and Ruth Blizard will be presenting “Attachment Relationships and Developmental Trauma Disorder.

For those looking for immersion into specific modalities, there is “Formal and Informal Hypnosis in Clinical Practice: Refresher After Intermediate Hypnosis Training” by Reinhild Draeger-Muenke, and a workshop on “Nonverbal Communication Made Visible Through Internal Family Systems (IFS)” by Joanne Twombly.

Additionally, parallel to the pre-conferences, a training in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) Level 1 will also be taking place at the conference venue.

Specific assessment tools for dissociation will be explored in depth in a workshop by Colin Ross and another by D. Michael Coy and Jennifer Madere.

Expanding on their workshops from 2024, Lynette Danylchuk will hold a workshop on suicidality, while Anne Gill and Lydia Bowerly will present on technology-facilitated child sexual abuse.

We will have Robyn Gobin and Jennifer Gómez collaborating to explore “Trauma Therapy for Black women: Racism, Intersectionality, and Cultural Betrayal Trauma.”

For specific disorders and their treatments, Dolores Mosquera will present on “Treating somatoform dissociation with EMDR therapy,” and Natalia Seijo on “Eating Disorders and Dissociation: Unlocking Effective Treatment for Severe Cases.

A team of researchers and therapists consisting of Lauren Lebois, Sherain Harricharan, Ann Shinn, Nathaniel Hernet, Kevin Clancy, Timothy McDermott, Julian Purcell, Mollie Marr, Bethany Brand, Matthew Robinson, and Milissa Kaufman will discuss “Bringing Neurobiological Insights on Trauma and Dissociation into Therapeutic Practice.
