Volunteer Opportunity Spotlight

Become a Virtual Training Program Moderator!

This month’s Volunteer Position Spotlight shines on the opportunity to become an ISSTD Webinar and Virtual Training Program Moderator!

The ISSTD Webinar and Virtual Training Program is seeking volunteer moderators to support its webinars and virtual trainings featuring leading and emerging voices in trauma and dissociation. This low-commitment role offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with cutting-edge clinical and scientific content, contribute to high-quality educational programming, and receive free access to the sessions you moderate—no committee membership required.

Moderators assist before, during, and after sessions by completing a brief tech check, welcoming attendees, introducing presenters, monitoring chat and Q&A, supporting time management, and communicating technical issues to ISSTD staff. Webinars typically occur monthly, with volunteers moderating one to three sessions per year (approximately 2–3.5 hours each). Virtual trainings are held three times annually, with one-day seminars in May and July and a two-day seminar in December 2026.

This opportunity is open to all, with students and emerging professionals especially encouraged to apply. If this sounds like something you would be interested in being a part of, please visit the ISSTD’s Volunteer Match page to explore this opportunity in more details and how to apply. We are currently looking for individuals who would be interested in moderating one of our upcoming 2026 webinars.
