You have something to say. How many times do you try to tell people what you see, hear, and know about dissociation? What do you deeply wish every therapist and researcher knew, so people who dissociate could be seen, heard, and helped with dignity?
Never presented before? ISSTD is providing guidance on how to write a proposal, so you can do this. You can also do this with a colleague, sharing the process and supporting each other.
Are you in a Special Interest Group (SIG)? Gather some of your SIG colleagues and identify what needs to be taught, and who might be willing and able to teach it. Collaboration helps everyone.
Share what you’ve learned through study, research, and experience. Pass along to others what you’ve learned the hard way, what you wish you’d known years ago.
You can do this! It’s an amazing experience that benefits everyone.
Go for it!
See you in Portland!
